Homestay message
Greetings! We have been hosting graduate students and visiting scholars from around the country and around the world for many years and have made many lifelong friendships.
We have an older large family home with 2 spacious sunny fully
furnished bedrooms inc. all utilities along with wifi plus all necessary linens (ie, sheets, blankets, towels) so you don't need to buy or pack that. You have ready access to all public areas of the house including the laundry room. You are also welcome to use whatever soaps, shampoos, conditioners, and toothpaste that is out for everyone's use in our 2 and half bathrooms. We provide various foods for you to make your own breakfast with as well as for dinner, quick style. And if I or my husband make a dinner from scratch, we share it with everyone. We are international omnivores and so are interested in all types of ethnic cuisine. We try to accommodate all food requests unless they are specifically vegan, Halal or Kosher. We have a front and back porch and front and back (fully fenced-in) yard.We have one medium size dog who is very sweet and one short-haired cat who is outside most of the time. 5 minute walk to Tufts University, 20 minute walk to Davis Sq. From house it's a 2 minute walk to 96 bus that goes to Davis Sq within 10 minutes and Harvard Sq within 30-both connected by the Red Line, or 2 minutes other direction for 101 bus that goes to Sullivan Station within 22 minutes for the Orange Line. Or walk 10 minutes to Hillside for the 80 bus that gets to Lechmere within 26 minutes for the Green Line. We are 45minutes to MIT, Suffolk or Bunker Hill via public transportation.We also have bikes for you to use.And we offer rides to various stores or museums.
1 month cash or cleared check up front will save it for you along with reliable references. Please note that we do not accept anyone under the age of 21 in terms of responsibility concerns. And that no smoking means not only in the house but everywhere.Thanks for your understanding.
